So says ... none other than our beloved principal!

Wondering who it is..?? Yes, it is our English maam.Pep up buddies. It is time to celebrate our partnership with our beloved school. Together, the old students in Vizag and the school are exploring new possibilities for education and entertainment. The SOS corner, as our new principal puts it in her inspiring reply to us, is "such a success that often one finds groups and teams of students surrounding the notice board".

Dear friends, we hope you already enjoyed the replies from Ramesh Sir and Anand Sir. There is one more big surprise following this Newsletter. We also hope that those of you who provided us you postal address have received a personal copy of our magazine Spandhana.

Panacea in the making- Christening our web presence!
To dream is one thing and to realize the dream is yet another. The heart of concerted action is communication and unfortunately, fast and easy exchange of thoughts within the SOS and with the School has been a gnawing issue since the inception of SOS. But, happy days are here again. With strong determination and dedication, a group of five web wizards led by Manga Navin of the 1989 batch, are only a fortnight away from providing us with the ultimate solution. Yes, SOS is about to launch its official website by the middle of September. One can easily reach home on the web at http://www.studentsofsai.com. We can all contribute to the look and content of our cyber home by sending school related photos or articles, memorable incidents at school or other stimulating experiences to studentsofsai@yahoo.com Contributions in the USA may be sent electronically to the above e-address while in India, please send hard copies to our School, with attention to SOS.

It is appealed to one and all that the activities of SOS are done to foster a positive, lasting relationship with the students and teachers at school and also to provide a meeting place for all the old students. We strongly recommend active participation and continuous input from all the old students. We sincerely hope that the web site with its interactive facilities will enable many of the unheard voices to surface their opinions.

Yuva Jaagrithi 2000
Yuva Jaagrithi 2000, a Cultural Meet of all college going students of Visakhapatnam, conducted from August 23rd to 25th with several competitions for all attendees has been a huge success. The valedictory and prize distribution ceremony was on Aug 27th. Our SOS members in vizag played a significant role in its organization.

Parthi Trip
The school children, teachers and junior college students went on a trip to Puttaparthi from Sep 2nd> to 8th to seek Swami’s blessings. Madam principal has invited SOS members to join them in the trip.
